Financial Aid

Malvern is proud of its financial aid program, and the diverse student body the financial aid program allows us to enroll. Malvern does not provide a financial aid determination until an applicant has completed the admissions process and an Admissions decision has been reached. Once an applicant is accepted a "completed financial aid package" is needed to be submitted before it will be reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee to determine the family's need. “NEED” is defined as the difference between the family’s expected contribution and the child’s tuition expense. The SSS Online Application will compute a family contribution that will help the school determine a family’s need. Unfortunately, financial aid funds are limited and the School is unable to meet the need of all the qualified applicants. Sallie Mae K-12 Family Education Loan Program helps families continue to look for financially responsible ways to pay for private K-12 education. The K-12 Family Education Loan is an ideal solution for families who need flexibility beyond financial aid, personal savings, or monthly payment plans when paying for a private school education. Once all admissions decisions are made, we then evaluate those accepted students requiring financial aid and make financial aid award determinations. Those financial aid qualified students will be evaluated based on their well-roundedness as it relates to the make-up of the incoming class. The financial aid budget is limited and the committee does its best to meet the need of as many students as possible.

If you checked “yes” for financial aid consideration on the admissions application, please submit all financial aid forms to the admissions office or upload to SSS as soon as possible. It is strongly recommended that you complete and submit your financial aid package as soon as possible. You should not wait until you have received an admissions decision to begin the financial aid application process. It is best to file the Parent’s Financial Statement form online and complete all financial aid requirements by December 15th.

The average grant given in 2015-16 was $14,298. Malvern awarded approximately $3.1 million in Financial Aid and Merit Scholarships in an effort to create cultural, economic, ethnic, and social diversity in its student body. Excellent students who have demonstrated need with various talents are considered for grants to enable them to attend Malvern. The repayment of grants is not required. Financial Aid is awarded annually. Parents must resubmit a completed financial aid package every year in order to renew their son’s financial aid award. All we ask of our students is to meet the following guidelines:

  1. Maintain an outstanding discipline record
  2. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0
  3. Participate in two school activities. School activities include but are not limited to: Athletic Teams, Non-Curricular Arts, Music Organizations, and school clubs.

The Admissions Office staff members are ready to assist you in any way they can. Please do not hesitate to contact them if you have any questions regarding financial aid.
