How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in Malvern Prep! We hope this checklist will be helpful during the application process. If you have any questions regarding our admissions process or would like to request Admissions information, please contact us at 484-595-1173.

It is recommended that all applicants begin the application process in October, and complete the application as soon as possible, preferably by Thanksgiving.

  1. Admissions Application – Parent completes and submits.
*After submitting the application, you will receive information on how to schedule a visit for your son.
  2. Teacher Recommendation form - Parent completes the top half of two Teacher Recommendation forms and then gives it to two different teachers  to complete and mail back to the Admissions Office. We prefer a Math Teacher and an English Teacher.
  3. Transcript Release form - Parent signs and submits to the school counselor or principal at son’s current school. The school then sends the form with the student’s official transcripts, conduct record and attendance records to the Admissions Office.
  4. Extracurricular Recommendation form (optional) - Parent may ask coaches, mentors, et al., to complete and submit to the Admissions Office.

2. Entrance Exam

Register for a Malvern Prep Entrance Exam. Most 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade candidates take the October or November exam. Click here to learn more about our Entrance Exams.

3. Shadow Day Visits (highly recommended)

Upon completing and submitting the application, you will receive information on how to schedule an on campus visit for your son. Shadow Day Visits pair an applicant with a current student that allows him to see what a day at Malvern Prep is really like. At the conclusion of your son's day, he will meet with an admissions representative.
