Admissions Overview

As the photo above demonstrates careful precision, we too believe we need to be careful and precise when we selectively decide between applicants who have demonstrated their want to be a Malvern Prep Friar.

Decisions are based on the following:

  • Entrance Exam scores
  • Previous academic achievement
  • Standardized testing
  • Teacher recommendations
  • Participation in extracurricular activities
  • Conduct and attendance record

Admissions Acceptance is 4:1 (Four applicants for every open seat)

Selection Process

Our Admissions Committee reviews and makes decisions on all completed applications. Since no application can be acted upon until all requirements are complete, contact us to ensure all parts of your son’s application have been received. You may also check the completeness of your application online.

For an application to be considered complete, the following information is required:

  • Academic record including conduct and attendance (prior two years and fall report card)
  • Entrance Exam results
  • 2 letters of recommendation (preferably from math and English teachers, but a guidance counselor or Principal may also be used)
  • Student interview (may be coordinated during a full day visit, otherwise will be scheduled)

Admissions Process Overview

We understand Independent school admissions processes may sometimes be an overwhelming experience. Our goal each year is to make your experience as smooth and informative as possible to aid you in making the very best decision for your son and family.
