Rowing Program Overview

The Malvern Prep Rowing training program aims to produce successful rowers by teaching discipline, responsibility, and accountability. Year round, rowers build strength through morning weight training, three times per week before the school day begins. Crew practice is held six times per week. The fall and spring seasons bring the rowers onto the water for race and technique training. Winter season is spent off water developing stamina and technique.

The Varsity Quad has won the City Championships, Stotesbury, and the Scholastic Rowing National Champions five years in a row. The team has also competed in and had great success at various regattas across the country and around the world, competing in the Head of the Charles in Boston, the Henley Royal Regatta in London, England, and in Silverskiff Regattan in Turin, Italy. Malvern Rowers have competed at the Junior World Rowing Championships in 2004, 2006 and 2010. For a more extensive list of the Rowing team’s victories, please see visit our Championships page.
